About the Course
Intro to Business is a free, in-person course that gives students hands-on knowledge in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business management. Hosted monthly on the 14th floor of 601 Poydras Street in New Orleans, students gain real-world insights in an active office workspace—learning directly from James M. Huger, CEO of JMH Companies.
Each session is lecture-style but highly interactive, with lively discussions, real examples, and take-home tools.

Pricing and the Free Market
Growing Your Money
Starting and Managing a Business
Every class ends with free lunch and networking, giving students a chance to connect with peers, mentors, and leaders. After completing all four modules and passing a short in-person assessment, students earn:
